    The 9th annual Congress took place in Clermont-Ferrand between 3-6 July 2004. Once again the 1000 participant figure was exceeded with attendance from 70 nations.

  • Salzburg/ 2003
    Salzburg attracted 1559 participants from 61 different countries.

  • Athens/ Greece 2002
    Athens welcomed more than 1000 participants.

  • Cologne/ Germany 2001
    Cologne, Germany topped the figure of 1500 participants from over 60 countries.

  • Jyväskylä, Finnland 2000
    In 2000 the Jyväskylä Congress attracted 953 participants from 45 different countries.

  • Rome/ Italy 1999
    Rome hosted more than 1000 Congress participants from over 50 different countries at the 4th Congress.

  • Manchester/ UK 1998
    In 1998 the 3rd Congress took place in Manchester, UK and was attended by 744 participants.

  • Copenhagen/ Denmark 1997
    The 2nd Congress was organised at Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1997 with more than 700 participants.

  • Nice/ France 1996
    The main scientific endeavours of the college are its annual Congresses. The 1st annual Congress took place in 1996 in Nice, France, and hosted more than 450 participants.

Further cities have expressed their interest from 2014 onward.

 

Congress Proceedings

Each annual ECSS congress is completed by the publication of its proceedings. All proceedings published since the first annual ECSS congress 1996 in Nice, France are listed here. Some issues are still available for order.

 

Proposal for Invited Symposia

Proposals for invited symposia for one of the upcoming ECSS congresses are welcome. Proposals shall be submitted by the 1st of September two years in advance of the congress the proposer whiches to present.
